So Your 5-Year-Olds Are Aging Out of the Program

During this virtual Lunch and Learn where ICAAP’s Reach Out & Read staff facilitated a discussion about supporting children aging out of the program. Towards the end of the meeting, the team presented the new graduation kits for children at their 5-year well visit. This session took place on October 23, 2024.

So Your Reach Out & Read Clinic is Outside of the Chicagoland Area

The Reach Out & Read Illinois Team proudly supports over 170 clinics statewide and has made great progress at engaging rural and suburban clinics. However, we understand that there are still many hurdles that clinics outside of the Chicagoland area face in implementing the program. This session took place on January 16, 2025.

So You Want to Rally Your Clinic’s Reach Out & Read Team…

All clinic staff that participate in the Reach Out and Read program are required to complete the CME accredited training provided through the myROR.org portal, however, the training is only required one time, and it is assumed that details may be forgotten over time. To mitigate this, and to help boost clinic moral surrounding the Reach Out and Read program, the Illinois team developed a Staff Refresher toolkit wherein clinics can host their own learning opportunities! Join us for this listening session to preview the toolkit, brainstorms ways it can be used, and have any questions surrounding this concept answered.

This session is designed for current Reach Out and Read implementers and will combine valuable information with an interactive discussion to better understand the challenges clinic staff face and explore how we can enhance support.
