Reach Out & Read Illinois Mini Grant Opportunity
ROR IL is offering an opportunity for clinics to apply for up to $10,000 in book funds for clinics both newly and currently implementing the Reach Out & Read program.
Background
In 2022, Reach Out & Read Illinois (ROR IL) embarked on a statewide project funded by the Illinois Department of Public Health to deepen the impact of sites implementing ROR IL across the state.
In early 2023, ROR IL introduced a mini grant program aimed to assist clinics in implementing Reach Out and Read for the first time. Since its launch, we have provided $170,000 in support to over 50 clinics both newly and currently implementing the Reach Out & Read program throughout the state, facilitating the widespread adoption of the Reach Out & Read model.
Application Process
Clinics in need of funding should follow the “Next Steps” below and complete the book funding application. The ROR IL team will review applications using the scoring rubric attached below. Applications will be reviewed biannually in November and February, with up to $100,000 dispersed in total. Funds will be provided directly into the clinic’s All About Books account the following month.
